🌟 Free Developmental Screenings for Young Children
Nadaburg Unified School District (NUSD) is committed to supporting children’s growth and success from an early age. We offer free developmental screenings for children ages 2 years 9 months through 5 years who may have developmental delays.
Research shows that early support can make a big difference in a child’s learning and development. If you have concerns about your child, we’re here to help.
👶 Is Your Child Having Difficulty With Any of These?
You may want to consider a screening if your child has challenges with:
Recognizing familiar people or objects
Hearing sounds or voices
Speaking clearly or being understood
Moving (crawling, walking, running)
Playing and interacting with others
Engaging with peers and adults
Learning new skills or concepts
If you answered “yes” to one or more of these, a screening may be helpful.

📘 Why Child Find Matters
Federal law (IDEA) requires school districts to identify and support children from birth through age 21 who may have developmental delays or disabilities.
This process, called Child Find, helps ensure children receive the services they need to reach their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
