At Nadaburg Unified School District, we believe every student deserves opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive. From our youngest learners to high school graduates, we offer programs designed to meet students where they are while preparing them for future success.


Early Learning Programs

 

Preschool

Our preschool classrooms provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children learn through purposeful play, exploration, and meaningful interactions with caring educators. Our instructional practices are aligned with the standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), helping students build strong academic, social, and emotional foundations for kindergarten and beyond.

 

Community Preschool

Community Preschool is available at both Nadaburg Elementary and Desert Oasis Elementary during the regular school day. Students enjoy hands-on learning experiences in classrooms designed specifically for young learners.

First Things First Scholarships

Nadaburg partners with First Things First to provide tuition assistance for eligible families. Scholarships may cover all or a portion of preschool tuition based on family eligibility and available funding.

 

Early Head Start

Through our partnership with Maricopa County and community agencies, qualifying families may participate in Early Head Start programs serving children ages 1–3. These classrooms provide high-quality early learning experiences while supporting working families and those pursuing educational opportunities.

 

Academic Excellence Programs

Our schools provide enriching experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and academic achievement.

 

Science Fair

Students in every grade participate in school science fairs through classroom, team, or individual projects. Students may also design engineering projects that demonstrate innovation and problem-solving. Top projects advance to regional competitions, with qualifying middle school students having opportunities to compete at the state level.

 

Spelling Bee

Students participate in the nationally recognized Scripps Spelling Bee program beginning with classroom competitions and advancing through school and district competitions. District champions have the opportunity to compete in regional and state-level competitions.

 

Student Support Programs

Every student learns differently. Our specialized support programs help ensure all students receive the instruction and services they need to succeed.

 

Resource Services

Resource Services provides individualized academic and social-emotional support for students receiving special education services. Students receive instruction based on their Individualized Education Program (IEP) in the least restrictive environment, whether through small-group instruction, classroom support, or a combination of both.

 

Beyond the Classroom

Learning extends beyond the school day. Nadaburg students have opportunities to participate in:

Nadaburg Online Virtual Academy (NOVA)

NOVA provides a flexible online learning experience for students who thrive in a virtual environment. Students receive standards-aligned instruction from certified teachers while benefiting from personalized learning pathways, ongoing teacher support, and the flexibility to learn wherever they are. NOVA serves students across grade levels and is designed to meet the needs of today's learners while maintaining the high expectations and personalized support that define Nadaburg Unified School District.
