About Nadaburg Unified School District

For more than 100 years, Nadaburg Unified School District (NUSD) has been committed to providing exceptional educational opportunities for students from preschool through grade 12. Serving approximately 1,300 students, NUSD includes two K–8 schools, one high school, and NOVA (Nadaburg Online Virtual Academy), offering flexible learning options to meet the needs of today's students.

Located in northwest Maricopa County, the district proudly serves the communities of Wittmann, Morristown, and Surprise, blending the values of a close-knit community with innovative educational opportunities. A Legacy of Excellence

Nadaburg Unified School District spans 154 square miles across northwest Maricopa County, serving both rural and suburban communities.

The district's roots date back to 1921, when the community built its first permanent school after local pioneer William Hovey Griffin donated land for public education. Following a fire in 1926, the school was rebuilt as the iconic Little Red School House, which remains an important part of the district's history and continues to serve the community as the home of the Nadaburg Governing Board meetings.

More than a century later, Nadaburg continues to honor its rich history while embracing innovation, preparing every student for success in college, career, and life.
